Singapore builds workforce’s skills in four growth sectors

Article highlighted the four key growth sectors in Singapore, which are medicine, life sciences, food and agriculture. Speaking at the yearly Enterprise Singapore (ESG) media conference, ESG’s Director-General (Quality & Excellence), Choy Sauw Kook, mentioned that building strong Testing, Inspection and Certification capabilities is key to supporting Singapore’s rapid expansion as a trading hub and innovation centre in ASEAN. This is done by giving support to not only multinational corporations, but also to small and medium enterprises. Article also mentioned that in order to expand the workforce, the Singapore Accreditation Council is working with SP and Health Sciences Authority to train workers to utilise digital tools such as the newly launched e-learning modules.
