Singapore Polytechnic graduates on green initiatives

More youths in Singapore are trying to adopt technology to achieve Singapore's green initiatives. SP Diploma in Maritime Business graduand Shanmugavel Sandhya and SP Diploma in Engineering with Business graduand Thattaruparambil Manoj Gayathri shared their initiatives with Seithi. Gayathri explained that water generally helps in the growth of plants more so than soil, which is why she chose to use hydroponics, which is more efficient. She added that with vertical farming, more vegetable plants could be cultivated. Sandhya shared about her startup Econation, which aims to educate youth through composting workshops and introduce them to a 3-in-1 composting bin. She shared that she used 3D printing technology at SP to create the composting bin prototype.
