Singapore students to take part in global competition that tests over 60 skills

For the first time in its history, the international WorldSkills competition held this year will involve more than 1,000 competitors from 56 member countries. They will take part in over 60 skill areas over a 12-week period from September. A 29-member team from Singapore, which comprises representatives from the five polytechnics, ITE, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University, will be competing in skill areas such as cyber security, fashion technology and cloud computing.
