Singtel, Ericsson and Singapore Polytechnic set up 5G Garage

SP, Singtel and Ericsson has opened Singapore’s first live 5G facility at SP’s Dover Road campus. The facility, named 5G Garage, will serve as a training centre, test bed and ideation lab to develop Singapore’s 5G ecosystem and drive the adoption of 5G by enterprises in their digital transformations. SP Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering student Brandon Tan shared how his SP Secure drone system can be further enhanced with 5G technology. The SP Secure drone system is an integrated platform that consists of an indoor, outdoor and underwater drone to detect and deter intruders. SP Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering student Owen Lee also shared how his autonomous vehicle project will have a greater impact on the community with the adoption of 5G technology.
