SP Graduation Ceremony - Capital 95.8

The broadcast reported that SP held its convocation today. With the new batch of graduates, there are now over 223,000 alumni, making SP the polytechnic with the most alumni. This year, nine top graduates received outstanding student awards. Diploma in Infocomm Security Management graduands Alwis Lim received this year’s Lee Kuan Yew award. He shared that despite how his parents had hoped that he would enter a JC, he wanted to develop his interests and experience in the tech industry. SP also gave him the opportunity to learn and gain experience from working with GovTech. He has plans to continue with university education after serving NS. Another graduand, Lim Cai Ying shared that she chose to switch from her Integrated Programme to the polytechnic to continue her studies. Cai Ying picked up skills through group work in SP, and benefited from the hands-on approach. She has been accepted by SUTD, and will continue to read computing. Similar news reported in Channel 8.
