Article highlighted NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and the Labour Movement’s Oil, Petrochemical, Energy & Chemical (OPEC) Cluster’s partnership with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and SP to roll out a series of training initiatives for workers in the manufacturing industry. This is to strengthen the skills and competencies of workers in preparation for Industry 4.0. The initiatives will benefit almost 1,500 professionals, managers, executives and technicians. The partnership with SP will help laboratory and process technicians acquire professional certification via an Assessment-Only Pathway and a bite-sized approach. Workers currently in the industry will be assessed by SP on their skill competencies, and those who qualify will receive a professional certification. (LabourBeat)
