Upgrading IT skills through Skills Ignition SG after losing job

Article featured SP’s Diploma in Business Information Technology alumnus, Muhammad Khairunnizam Lukman, who lost his job at an events company last March due to the pandemic. Unable to secure another job, the former sales executive decided to upgrade himself by participating in the Skills Ignition SG programme by SkillsFuture Singapore, Workforce Singapore and Google. The programme aims to equip retrenched or unemployed Singapore citizens and PRs with the relevant Digital Marketing or Cloud Technology skills. The 34 year old father of three managed to become a trainee at Google, doing Cloud Technology.
