Want to see more women in IT

Article featured SP Diploma in Information Technology student Ms. Syakira Sulaiman, who enrolled in SP’s user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) courses after completing her studies at junior college. Seeing that there were not many female students in her course cohort, when Ms. Syakira found out about the new Cross-Polytechnic Girls in Tech Committee – which includes female students in infocomm technology (ICT) courses at the five polytechnics – she took the opportunity to join it. The SG Women in Tech Group (SGWIT) is an effort by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in collaboration with the industry and the technology community with the polytechnics in Singapore.
