In today’s screen intensive workplace, prioritising eye health is increasingly important. In May 2026, three staff from the Diploma in Optometry (DOPT) course led a series of specialised 1.5 hour Eye (I) Care Workshops for 55 Ministry of Education (MOE) staff, supporting their occupational wellness and daily eye care practices. These sessions offered practical insights into everyday eye health. Participants gained a clearer understanding of common eye conditions and their clinical management, along with simple, actionable strategies to reduce and prevent digital eye strain, a common issue among office-based professionals. The impact extended beyond the sessions themselves. Reflecting a strong shift towards proactive vision care, nearly 88% of participants expressed interest in a complimentary comprehensive eye examination at the SP Optometry Centre (SPOC).
