From 28 June to 3 July 2025, a team of two students and three alumni from the School of Computing and School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering took part in NTU’s Deep Learning Week, Southeast Asia’s largest deep tech hackathon:
Among over 750 participants, the SP team won first place with their innovative Brain–Computer Interface—a discreet patch that captures sub-vocal signals and translates thoughts into words. Their working prototype included a smart wheelchair and smart-home demo, earning them a $5,000 prize.
