Toy Design Competition 2021 (TDC.21) -Updated*

Toy Design Competition is an annual competition organised by School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering for secondary school students. The objective is to encourage students to develop an interest towards STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education. Students will learn to use CAD modelling software to create their models and learn about digital fabrication techniques such as 3D printing and laser cutting etc.

The competition has 2 categories: 1) Design Category and 2) Automata Category. Students are encouraged to join in either category subjected to the rules and regulations of the competition. For more details, please download the Rules and Regulations documents. 

 

Competition Themes

The competition themes for TDC.21 categories are:

Toy Design Category:  Gravity powered walking robot

Automata Category:    Life during COVID-19 circuit breaker

Results

Congratulations to all winners whose work have won over the judges. The quality of work seen in your artefact reflected the commitment, endless hours and sweat equity being expended into it. Last but not least, a heartfelt thank you from the TDC committee to all participants who have put effort and time into this competition.
