What You Will Learn
This SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) is a train-and-place programme supporting mid-career individuals in acquiring industry-relevant skills to improve employability and pivot to new sectors or job roles. SCTP is suitable for individuals who are:
- Working and seeking a new position within/outside their companies
- Unemployed and returning to the workforce
Ready to transform your career with cutting-edge data and digital technology skills? This programme is specifically designed for individuals transitioning to the exciting world of data-driven digitalisation (no prior experience needed). Participants will be guided every step of the way, building expertise from the ground up.
Please apply only if you can commit to the full programme (including entire duration), and motivated to pursue a career transition to a new role or sector.
By end of this course, participants will be able to:- Perform basic data retrieval and data transformation using the Python's NumPy package.
- Build and customise basic visualisations using the Matplotlib package.
- Explain the differences between Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) versus Online Analytical Processing (OLAP).
- Create Relational Databases under given scenarios.
- Apply Structured Query Language (SQL) to interact with a relational database.
- Create a data warehouse based on business requirements.
- Apply Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) process to integrate data from various sources.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and integration techniques to prepare data for further analysis.
- Create clear, concise, and visually appealing visualisations to clearly communicate data-driven insights.
- Leverage low-code methodologies to significantly reduce development time and increase productivity.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation and implement innovative solutions using low-code technologies.
- Recognise, identify, and apply design patterns to solve real-world problems, as well as improve their code or low-code solutions' qualities.
- Develop the ability to interpret the AI models' results, assess their reliability, and identify potential biases or limitations.
- Build and deploy AI-powered solutions, from data preparation to model deployment and evaluation.
- Identify opportunities for digital transformation and implement innovative AI solutions.
- Develop build intelligent applications leveraging AI and machine learning to solve real-world problems, and drive business value.
- Design and create visually appealing interactive dashboards that effectively communicate insights, to diverse audiences.
