What You Will Learn

The course is designed for community optometrists wanting to enhance their clinical expertise. They will be equipped with the competency to align community optometry practices with public healthcare institutions, supporting healthcare services' expansion beyond hospitals.

By end of this course, participants will be able to:
  1. Explain primary eye care provision in healthcare settings.
  2. Apply professional communication and documentation skills.
  3. Perform focused patient-history taking.
  4. Perform anterior segment examination techniques.
  5. Conduct pupillary examinations, including Relative Afferent Pupillary Defect (RAPD) assessment.
  6. Formulate evidence-based management plans for patients in community settings, within the optometric practice scope.
