Course Objective
This online asynchronous course is designed for Harbour Pilots, Seafarers, or maritime personnel with the essential knowledge of operation onboard methanol fuelled ships or alongside them. Participants will also gain a thorough understanding of methanol's properties, associated hazards and safety measures, methanol storage and maintenance system, emergency and contingency response protocols, as well as oil spills' environmental impact.
Participants will learn self-paced, through interactive modules featuring multimedia presentations, animations, videos, quizzes, podcasts, and AI-generated avatar voiceovers. Additionally, the immersive Virtual Reality (VR) desktop version, on methanol bunkering, will further enhance this learning experience.
