Course Objective
This course aims providing knowledge of Intermediate operational skills in Ship Handling and Operation, as well as Maritime Management Knowledge to participants, equipping them with holistic skillsets essential across the Maritime industry.

Offered by the Singapore Maritime Academy of Singapore Polytechnic, to Cadets, Ratings, and Uncertified Junior Officers. wishing to deepen their skills and stay relevant in this ever-changing industry.
We also recommend that students undertake the following additional courses whilst pursuing their studies:
- Basic Training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code (For obtaining the Basic IGF Certificate of Proficiency (COP) issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore [MPA])
- Basic Training For Handling of Methanol As Fuel For Maritime Personnel (For personnel assigned with safety duties associated with the care, use or in emergency response to the methanol fuel onboard Singapore Registered Ships)
