As industries continue to modernise and electrify, the need for qualified power engineering talent is rising across sectors such as building services, transportation, manufacturing, marine, and energy.

Through this Diploma in Engineering (Power Engineering), you will gain the technical expertise to develop practical and industry-relevant competencies in electrical installations, power distribution, system protection, and renewable energy technologies, enabling you to set off on a recognised pathway towards Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification in Singapore.

Academic Progression and Pathways 

National University of Singapore

After completing this course, you can pursue NUS' BTech Engineering Bridging Units (BEBUs) before qualifying for their part-time BTech Programme.

Singapore Institute of Technology

If you score a minimum grade of A in the following modules, you will be eligible for credit exemptions towards the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electrical Power Engineering at SIT:

  • Circuit Theory & Analysis - Exemption from Circuit Theory and Analysis
  • Digital Electronics - Exemption from Digital Electronics
  • Power Transmission & Distribution or Power System Analysis - Exemption from Transmission and Distribution
  • Power Electronics & Drives - Exemption from Power Electronics

You can potentially get exemptions that amount to 24 Credit Units (CU) out of 180 CU for degree completion.
