Course Objective
This comprehensive course empowers you with evidence-based nutritional strategies to confidently manage and prevent chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, gout, and fatty liver disease. Guided by an experienced dietitian, you will analyse key nutrition concepts and identify how different dietary components impact chronic health conditions. Additionally, comparing food labels and differentiating healthier choices, building skills to effectively interpret food label information and dietary guidelines are covered.
Hence, throughout the course, you will construct and plan well-balanced meals meeting different nutritional requirements, applying foundational nutrition principles to real-life scenarios. By evaluating case studies, you will also justify selection of specific dietary interventions for chronic disease management. Overall, this hands-on session enables you to demonstrate your ability to carefully assemble meals suitable for both yourself and others with unique health needs, thus translating theory into actionable skills.
