This 1-day course provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to develop a simplified structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT) Lite blueprint. 

During the course, participants will develop, submit, and present a S-OJT Lite blueprint.

Course Objective

The goal of this course is to provide participants with a thorough understanding and the necessary abilities to create a simplified version of a structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT) blueprint for their workplace. Participants will learn how to define the scope of work, implement skill development through workplace training processes, identify key factors for a successful blueprint, develop a simple OJT checklist, and assess the effectiveness of OJT within an organisation through review and evaluation. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to design a simplified structured OJT (S-OJT) Lite blueprint that meets the specific needs of their workplace and yet ensuring ease of development and implementation.

Course Outline

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the concepts of Workplace Learning and the Structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT), and their importance.
  2. Develop a simplified Structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT) Lite blueprint to facilitate workplace learning.
  3. Prepare a S-OJT Lite Blueprint
  4. Validate the S-OJT programme
Topics to be covered
  1. Introduction to Workplace Learning (WpL) & Structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT)
  2. Linking WpL to Competency Development
  3. Design and develop a simplified S-OJT Programme
  4. Prepare a S-OJT Lite Blueprint
  5. Validate the S-OJT Programmes

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate

Learning and Development Department (e.g Curriculum Developer, Learning and development specialist etc), and Team leaders/ Managers of functional departments who would like to implement Workplace Learning Lite Blueprint (e.g. executives (passenger services, ramp etc.), assistant managers (operations, electronics etc.)

As per SSG’s policy, the GST payable for all funding-eligible applicants is calculated based on prevailing GST rate after baseline funding subsidy of 70%
