Around 80 percent of interviewees do not know the danger of dust explosion

Lianhe Zaobao, 3 Jul 2015- Article featured explanations by NTU School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Associate Professor, Roderick Bates and SP’s Diploma in Applied Chemistry Course Chair, Jeffrey Whey about how corn starch can lead to explosion when exposed to air. Jeffrey further commented that corn starch stored in the container at home will not explode accidentally, due to the lack of oxygen.
