Businessman, 61, wins SLF Gold Medal for lifelong learning

The Straits Times, 13 Jun 2015 - The ITE held its graduation ceremony on Friday and three outstanding graduates were featured in the article. One of the graduates, Mr Goh Miah Meng, completed his fourth certificate at ITE and is lauded as a lifelong learner. Mr Goh is also an SP's Diploma in Maritime Studies graduate and also holds qualifications from NP and TP. Another graduate, Mr Andrew Tan, is a recipient of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal. The award is given to top ITE graduates who have excelled in their studies and co-curricular activities. Andrew used to play computer games and did not study. However, he worked hard to pursue his passion for IT and engineering and has graduated with a full GPA of 4.0. He also became the top graduate from and engineering course and picked up the IES Engineering Award as well. Andrew is currently a second year student in SP’s Diploma in Computer Engineering course.
