Coffee-table book tribute to poly’s flora and fauna

The Straits Times, 31 July 2014 - SP has launched a coffee-table book titled ‘Campus in a Garden’ to document the lush greenery and wildlife on its campus as part of the celebrations to commemorate its 60th anniversary. The 38ha campus is home to about 230 plant species and includes four Woolly Fig Trees that has been classified as Heritage Trees and earmarked for conservation by the National Parks Board. Principal and Chief Executive, Mr Tan Choon Shian commented on his experience with the wildlife and greenery on campus during the book launch. CASS Director and SP Go Green Committee Chairman, Mr Tan Yew Meng also opined on his experience with the wildlife on campus. 4,500 copies of the book were printed and each staff member will receive a copy.
