EWB Asia Launch - Students from the Singapore Polytechnic School of Chemical & Life Sciences (Diploma in Chemical Engineering) have designed and built a floatable toilet system with the objective of improving the sanitation level of rural communities. The intended users of this equipment reside in the village of Choru, Cambodia. Via trips to Cambodia, these students identified problems faced by the villagers and used locally sourced resources and labour to carry out construction.
