Fresh ideas for food centres of the future

The Straits Times, 1 Nov 2013 - Environment Minister Vivian Balakrishnan toured the exhibition at NEA where 21 proposals by SP’s ABE students on tackling current hawker centre issues were displayed, such as "flippable" tables and retractable chairs and said that he wants to see the students' ideas come into fruition. The ideas may be implemented in the 10 upcoming hawker centres or the 15 others that would be refurbished in the next eight years.
