Growing interest in aviation industry in schools

Today, 2 Sep 2013 - Northbrooks and Hillgrove Secondary were mentioned as two schools weaving aviation and aerospace content, lessons and CCAs into their curricula. These initiatives are part of a wave of growing interest in the aerospace and aviation industry, and polytechnics, ITEs and universities report that they have generally seen an increase in applications for courses in these fields. Temasek Polytechnic reports that its intake for Aerospace Engineering has more than doubled since the programme started in 2009. The article also mentions that lessons at Hillgrove are designed in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore Aviation Youth Outreach Seed Fund.
