He dropped out of school to care for mum

The New Paper, 25 June 2014 - SP Diploma in Hotel and Leisure Facilities Management student and Building and Construction Authority scholar Muhammad Asyraf Chumino is one of the students who was awarded the Sng Yew Chong Gold Medal at the ITE. Once a top scorer in primary school, Asyraf decided to leave school at the age of 10 after his father passed away in order to take care of his mother who was suffering from depression. Despite his siblings objection, he continued to skip school in order to take care of his mother and take over house chores.
