Junk Converters – Alternative Energy

Channel 8, 14 Jun 2015 - Programme explores how junk or discarded items can be turned into useful and meaningful products. In this episode, the Maker Space at SP Library and various projects such as the Bicycle Electric Generator were featured. SP’s Maker Coach, Louis Goh and SP’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering lecturer, Chia Chew Lin, gave a showaround of the facilities in the Maker Space and demonstrated how an electric circuit board works. The segment with Louis Goh and Chia Chew Lin begins from 2:20 till 6:30. The scenes from 13:28 till 22:25 were filmed in SP Library and campus.
