More poly grads score places in law, medicine

The Straits Times, 26 May 2014 - Article featured graduates from SP, TP and NP who have been offered places in local medical and law schools. SP Diploma in Biomedical Science (DBS) graduate Russell John Chuah was mentioned as the first poly student to be accepted by NTU’s medical school. Fellow SP DBS graduate Raphael Ng who is one of five SP graduates to be offered a place in NUS medical school this year opined on how the new admissions format emphasizes the various skills and knowledge that is required for future doctors. SP’s DBS course manager, Dr Tan Tuan Lin also opined on how SP’s structured diploma prepares students to be ready for work or further studies by offering various internships with local hospitals and clinics. DBS graduate Janna Wong is also featured in the photo on being offered a place in NUS law school.
