She made it through tough times at home

The New Paper, 25 June 2014 - SP Diploma in Tourism and Resort Management student Cheryl Tay is one of the few outstanding ITE graduate who was awarded the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal for her academic achievements. Her family faced difficulties in making ends meet, which resulted in her mother selling her four-room flat and moving around five different homes in a span of a year. But she did not allow her life difficulties to stop her from working towards her goals, and she scored a GPA of 3.89 eventually.
