Teams fight it out

22 Jun 2015

TheStar.com.my, 21 Jun 2015 - A SP team has come in second place among 24 student teams from regional countries at the ICAEW Regional Business Challenge, which was held in Kuala Lumpur. The admission criteria for the challenge was strict, with participants required to have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above. Teams were also trained on how to prepare and deliver an effective presentation, before being provided a case study upon which they were to build a convincing business strategy. All teams had 75 minutes to discuss and prepare presentations, during which they were assessed on a mix of technical and interpersonal skills. Every team was then given six minutes to present to a panel of four judges, which acted as a board of directors assessing their strategic and tactical recommendations. The senior management of some of Malaysia’s top employers were also present to assess the students’ responses to real-life work situations.
