Two fitness clubs hit by complaints

30 Jun 2014

The Straits Times, 29 Jun 2014 - Singapore's consumer watchdog has flagged two fitness clubs for the high number of complaints filed against them over the past three years. Grouses against California Fitness and True Fitness made up more than three-quarters of 86 complaints involving fitness clubs filed last year. Most of the complaints were related to the membership schemes offered by the fitness clubs. SP’s marketing and retail lecturer Mr Amos Tan gave suggestions on how fitness clubs can avoid such complaints by offering customers more clarity on the terms and conditions over their membership schemes.
