A museum for my Kampong Glam heritage story

25 Jun 2023

SP Media, Arts & Design school adjunct lecturer Hidayah Amin, who is also an award-winning writer, has published eight non-fiction books that delve into topics such as Malay culture, languages and desserts, and the last Malay schools in Singapore. One of her books on the Kampong Glam neighbourhood won her the NUS Singapore History Prize. She will soon tell her story in her biggest heritage project – a museum which honours her great-grandfather’s contributions to the Malay community in Singapore in the first half of the century.
