Karen Hoisington was one of 212 artists in the Singapore Artists Directory published in 1987 by Prime Prints with the help of the then Ministry of Community Development. Hoisington’s father, Vincent Hoisington (1924-1972), was a pioneer in aluminium art and his sculptures and murals were displayed at various buildings in Singapore, including SP, the Redemptorist Chapel and the Writer’s Bar at Raffles Hotel.
