Eight educators received the President's Award for Teachers 2023

A total of 4,367 educators from 312 schools were nominated for the Presidential Award for Teacher Excellence this year, and 17 were shortlisted. Eight received the award, and amongst them were SP Senior Manager Fann Zhi Jie and RP Senior Lecturer Malini D/O Thyagesan. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the use of digital platforms, virtual classrooms and other software by schools and teachers. As the curriculum chairperson of SP, Zhijie also actively introduces technology assistance in curriculum decision-making and innovative teaching. He also co-founded the student arm of the Society for Interior Designers, which is aimed at connecting schools that provide interior design, and helping students build bridges with industry.
