Employers need to prioritise upskilling existing employees

Speaking at the Workplace Learning Conference at the Suntec City Convention Centre on Wednesday, Second Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, stressed the important role of business in developing Singapore's workforce, especially in facing the challenges of a tighter job market now. The conference, held for the second year, was jointly organised by the five polytechnics, the Institute for Adult Learning, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
