NUS Team develops new Asphalt Mixture, Adding Recycled Plastic to Pave Roads is More Durable and Green

The authorities first tried paving materials made of waste plastic on highways in February last year, on sections of roads at Jalan Buroh. The paving material was developed by the LTA in collaboration with Samwoh, NEA, and SP. The solution is to include LDPE in the paving material, making the roads strong enough to withstand heavy vehicles in industrial areas.
