1. My students have just completed their Sec 1 STEM ALP – Tier 1 programme. Do I need to make any application for YEA (Applied Learning)?
No. You only need to apply for YEA (Applied Learning) at the end of the Sec 2 STEM ALP – Tier 1 programme.
2. My students have just completed their Sec 2 STEM ALP – Tier 1 programme. When do I apply for the YEA (Applied Learning)?
You can make your submission at any time during the year of completion, by 15th November each year, provided the students have already completed their Sec 1 STEM ALP - Tier 1 programme.
3. How do I apply for YEA (Applied Learning)?
To apply for this award, please do the following:
1. Download the Excel form from this link >
YEA (Applied Learning) Application Form,
and fill in the data required for the application.
2. Upload and submit the completed Excel form via this link >
https://tinyurl.com/YEA-AL-Application.
Application deadline is 15th November of each year. The certificates of successful applicants will be delivered to the respective schools in Term 1 of the following year.
4. How do I apply for YEA (Achievement)?
There are 2 ways to attain YEA (Achievement) award.
A. Via Tier 2 Competitions/Programmes
Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and Science Centre Singapore (SCS) will give this award to deserving participants directly hence no application is required. Please refer to the list of competitions/programme organised by SP and SCS that are eligible for this award. Awardees will be notified via their teachers by Singapore Polytechnic in Term 1 of the following year after the competitions/programmes.
B. Via Principal’s Recommendation
Each school principal can recommend up to 3 students each year for this award. Recommended students should be taking their O-Levels in the year following the application, and have expressed interest to apply for SP-EEE’s courses through the EAE
pathway.
To apply for this award, please do the following:
1. Download the form from this link > Young Engineers Award (Achievement) - Principal's Recommendation and fill in the data required for the application.
2. Send the completed form with the supporting documents to the email address stated in the form.
Application deadline is 15th November of each year. Successful applicants will be notified via their teachers by Singapore Polytechnic in Term 1 of the following year.
5. My students participated in a school or external competition/programme. Are they eligible for YEA (Achievement)?
Yes, but only via the School Principal’s recommendation.
6. How would I know if my students have attained YEA (Achievement)?
Singapore Polytechnic will inform all awardees through their respective schools.
