Course Objective

This course aims providing knowledge, (Intermediate to Advanced Level) of operational skills in Ship Operation, to participants. They will be equipped with holistic Maritime Management skills, essential across the Maritime industry.

Offered by the Singapore Maritime Academy of Singapore Polytechnic to Junior Officers with experience as Marine Engineers, wishing to enhance their skills and stay relevant.

We also recommend that students undertake the following additional courses whilst pursuing their studies:

  1. Advanced Training for service on ships subject to the IGF Code (For obtaining the Advanced IGF Certificate of Proficiency (COP) issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore [MPA])
  2. Advanced Training For Handling of Methanol As Fuel For Maritime Personnel (For personnel with immediate responsibility for the care and use of methanol fuels and methanol fuel systems on Singapore Registered Ships)
