What You Will Learn

This course refreshes your knowledge and skills in Maritime communications, as well as the ability to operate a Maritime mobile communication station (as required for all Sea Areas). Proper use of the latest Global Maritime Distress & Safety System (GMDSS) equipment, on-board ship, is emphasised via hands-on simulation.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:
  1. Operate a Maritime mobile communication station, as required for all sea areas
  2. Respond to Distress, Urgency, Safety, and Routine situations
  3. Apply the Principles of Search and Rescue (SAR) Communication during SAR operations
