Chemical Engineering graduate Shawn Tan Yi Hao expressed gratitude to his parents at SP Graduation 2015

Shawn Tan Yi Hao is the only son to a Braille transcriber and telephone operator.

A very unfortunate accident left his parents visually impaired when he was born. Despite the challenges, his parents did not let their disabilities affect Shawn growing up, and they worked hard to provide their son with a normal life, meeting all his needs.

This week, Shawn graduated with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, and has been offered a place in SIT to study chemical engineering.

Shawn has this to say to his parents: "Thank you for always being there for me. I wouldn't have been where I am today without the both of you."
