Two SP teams emerged as the Champion and 1st Runner Up at the Singapore Energy Grand Challenge (SEGC) – IHL 2023 competition, beating ~80 other participating teams from various IHLs, including universities.

Team Powerpuff from SP, made up of Year 3 Chemical Engineering (DCHE) students, Yao En Ting, Ruba Zaki A. Sulaiman, Jasmine Chan Sze Yi, and Hannah To Qi Wen, emerged as the Champion by proposing “Effitrack,” a groundbreaking solution to tackle the issue of solar panel intermittency in Singapore by deploying bifacial solar panels along MRT tracks. In addition, they were voted by those present to be the best presentation!
