Industrial Factory Visits ignited Year 1 students’ passion for learning

01 Sep 2023

A total of 350 Year 1 students from the School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS) recently visited industrial factories like Thong Siek Global, Kikkoman, Yakult Singapore, Lee Wee Brothers and Yeo Hiap Seng to witness the practical application of concepts taught in classrooms. These visits have proven to be a catalyst for inspiration and learning as students gained invaluable real-world insights. The Year 1 students, who had the chance to observe the inner workings of various industrial processes, came out with a renewed enthusiasm for food technology. The success of these industrial factory visits has prompted us to continue incorporating such enriching learning journeys in IFS module.
