Novartis Networking Session

A Novartis Networking session was held on 26 July 2018 for students and alumni from the Diplomas in Applied Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering.

The speakers from Novartis Bioproduction Operations Singapore shared about the operating system and structure of Novartis, and the experience of working in the biopharmaceutical industry. They showcased how many different departments worked together to produce high quality drugs and therapies - for people of today and tomorrow. Aside from work, they also spoke of non-work related events such as their bonding activities and celebrations, which included dragon boating and their company night.

Participants who were looking into a future career in this field found it interesting and beneficial as it allowed them to learn more about this sector, the positions available and the ways to enter the industry. They now know they can get a head start in this industry through programmes such as the Local Biologics Skills Training.
