NCSS spearheads 3P Partnership Efforts To Drive Sustainable Transformation In Non-Profit Sector

Three Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) to bolster service, data, and process transformation in the non-profit sector were signed today, between the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) respectively. The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS) in the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, at the inaugural Transformation Showcase for Non-Profits (TSNP) organised by NCSS.

5G Academy leads the way in developing Singapore’s 5G talent pipeline

The Singapore 5G & Telecoms Academy (5G Academy) - jointly managed by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) as consortium partners, in partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) - has successfully trained 7,000 individuals and more than450 enterprises in 5G and 5G-related technologies since it was established in November 2020.

Four new SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes to be launched in 2023

The Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), supported by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), will launch four more work-study programmes in 2023. The SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme enables polytechnic and ITE graduates to enhance their job readiness and further gain industry-recognised qualifications, through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom learning.

Singapore, 13 January 2022 – The 2021 Polytechnic Graduate Employment Survey (GES) found that 92.2% of polytechnic graduates found jobs within six months of graduation or after completion of full-time National Service, an increase of 4.8% from 87.4% in 2020 (see Table 1). The median gross monthly salary among graduates in full-time permanent employment increased from $2,400 in 2020 to $2,500 in 2021.
