15th International Congress on Polymers in Concrete

The 15th International Congress on Polymers in Concrete (ICPIC) was an event that was co-organised by the students of the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) in conjunction with American Concrete Institute (Singapore Chapter) and Admaterials Technologies Pte Ltd.
ICPIC has been the leading congress in the interactive fields on polymers in concrete for more than 30 years. Held from 19 to 21 October 2015 in Singapore, this congress promoted new challenges of innovation and sustainability, and provided opportunities for industry experts, researchers, academics and students to exchange knowledge and network in this field. It was a 3-day event packed with educational lecture, break-out sessions, welcome dinner, and an opening and closing ceremonies.
The students’ scope of work focused mainly on the conceptualisation and planning of the ICPIC welcome dinner programme, sourcing of performances, goodie bags, city tours, liaising and coordinating with the vendors, designing of marketing brochures, as well as assisting with on-site event management.
The event was a success with a turn up of over 200 participants. The delegates participated actively and had a great time of networking and exchanging ideas throughout the 3-day programme. The welcome dinner was also filled with much laughter, bonding and enjoyment, with some participants walking away with attractive lucky draw prizes.
