DCEB & DEPM Students Serving Corporate Clients at 2014 Formula 1

28 Oct 2014

4 students from the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) and 3 students from the Diploma in Civil Engineering with Business (DCEB) were attached with Goodwood Park Hotel to provide banquet services during the 2014 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix from 19 to 21 September 2014.

The students were assigned to work at the Turn 3 Sky Suite, an exclusive suite located at the top floor of the hospitality facilities where guests will be able to view the thrilling action at a vantage point, serving the corporate guests of companies such as ASL Marine and CISCO Intel, to name a few.

“We had learnt about corporate hospitality suites in lectures, but the first-hand experience of witnessing service standards to corporate clients was truly eye-opening,” said Second Year DEPM student, See Xin Hui.

This collaboration was made possible with the Recruitment for Marquee Events programme managed by the School of Architecture & the Built Environment to provide students with hands-on experience working at brand-name events with credible industry partners at market rates.
