Year 2 student Teo Wan Yee from the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) took part in the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC) ‘Safety Starts with Me’ Competition 2014 and was awarded the Bronze Award in the Poster Drawing (Open Category).
The annual competition aims to remind the public to pay attention to common everyday risks at work. Wan Yee’s poster entry “A Spill Is What It Takes” serves to remind kitchen staff to take minor precautions to prevent any accidents in workplace kitchens. The entry was submitted as part of a tutorial exercise for the course’s food and beverages module.
