DHLFM internship students featured in Lianhe Zaobao.

06 Jun 2014

Two students from the Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management (DHLFM) were attached to Star Cruises as part of their 22-week internship programme. During their internship, they were exposed to different learning experiences including a fun and enriching trip on-board the cruise to places such as Phuket and Penang.

They found the entire experience meaningful as it was beyond what they would learn in classroom settings. They also stated that one of the main benefits of the internship included the opportunity to interact with cruise ship passengers who came from diverse cultural backgrounds. It broadened the students’ horizons, and also trained them in being patient when it comes to responding to each of the passenger’s unique needs.

Here is an article in Lianhe Zaobao dated 14 May 2014, featuring their experiences.
