DLA students volunteered to be URA’s guides at Jurong Lake District Public Exhibition

01 Sep 2017

Students from the Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) volunteered to be URA’s guides at their public exhibition for Jurong Lake District (JLD). To perform their task, students needed to undergo a few rounds of trainings on basic planning knowledge and exhibition content.

As part of their training, DLA students learned the planning history of Singapore, role & duty of URA and first-hand knowledge on the JLD Masterplan during this pilot program, which will further enhance future project collaborations between URA and DLA. Besides enriching their own professional knowledge, the students also contributed to the community as they assisted the public in understanding more about the future development plans for JLD during the exhibition at The URA Centre & Westgate Mall from 25 Aug to 17 Sep 2017.
