Every year, about 70 to 90 Singapore Polytechnic students will be involved in the F1 Night Race season in Singapore. These students are from the Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management (DHLFM) course, and have the privilege of being in the Paddock Club to serve VIPS. However, prior this stint, they were personally trained by the hotel F&B Manager as part of their authentic learning programme in the DHLFM course.
The event is one of the course’s activities in collaboration with Hilton Hotel. Overall, the students find the experience exciting and meaningful as they were able to serve guests while catching a glimpse of the race. The whole atmosphere and loud “Vroooomss” of the racing cars made the experience exceptionally memorable.
