DID Day 2018

15 Oct 2018

DID Day 2018 brought together 230 Diploma in Interior Design (DID) students, alumni and industry partners to celebrate Interior Design Day. Kick-starting the evening programme was Mr Astley Ng from the Society Interior Designer, Singapore (SIDS) who shared on the topics of sustainable interior design and the implication of Smart Technology on design. 3rd Year students presented their scale 1:1 project translating the Anime “Spirited Away” into a space on the theme of “transformable spatial intervention”.

“It was good to catch up with both tutors and juniors. It was heartening to be able to see students getting hands-on experience on carpentry works to translate their design, as this will allow them in the near future to understand detailing and finishing works crucial to Interior Design.”
